DEKALB, Ill. – Brody Teske and Kyle Biscoglia earned pins to give UNI a 12-0 lead and the Panthers never looked back on the way to a 27-9 road win over Northern Illinois Friday evening in Dekalb.
Teske continued his undefeated season with a dominant win at 125 to start the dual. He recorded five takedown and scored near fall points before earning a fall at the 6:33 point in the match.
Biscoglia on the other hand came from behind. He trailed 4-2 after the first but grabbed the lead in the second with an escape, takedown and back points before earning another takedown in the third which led to his pin.
Drew Bennett extended the Panther lead to 15-0 with a 7-4 win and Triston Lara won his bout at 149.
The Huskies won decisions at 157, 165 and 174, but the Panthers rebounded in a big way at 184.
Parker Keckeisen continued his stellar career start with another statement win against top-10 opponent and reigning MAC champion Brit Wilson. Wilson led 5-2 early in the second period before Keckeisen grabbed a takedown to cut the deficit to 5-4. He added an escape and a takedown in the third and added a ride time point for an 8-5 win.
Keegan Moore earned an 11-3 major decision at 197 with a takedown and back points in the final period.
Carter Isley moved to 6-0 on the year with a 4-1 decision at 285 to clinch the 27-9 win.
The Panthers are now 4-2 on the year while Northern Illinois falls to 6-3.
UNI closes out the regular season on Feb. 14 in Ames with duals against Arizona State, Northern Colorado and Iowa State.
