Rolling Off The Tongue

I have to admit, there were times in the past four years when I might see or say the phrase “President Donald Trump” and stop for a moment…because a decade or so ago, the phrase “President Donald Trump” is something very few considered seriously. But, of course, it happened.

Now, it’s quite hard to think of anyone else being in the Oval Office…that’s obviously not made any better by the circumstances which led to Joe Biden being sworn in not quite a week ago. It’s hard for many to come to grips with the change, because of an overriding sense that rules were broken and the legitimacy of this presidency is in question.

Granted, four years ago, Democrats hollered about Trump being an illegitimate president…but they had not one shred of evidence. They did have enough sour grapes to make wine…and whine they did, for a full four years.

They didn’t like Trump, they didn’t like that Hillary Clinton failed to campaign in key states…so in their mind, it was illegitimate. That never held any water…but the current claims do, at least far more than those of the whiners.

Going to take a while to get used to the phrase “President Joe Biden”…probably going to take far longer to recover from the policies.
