Waterloo Council to Add to Lincoln Park Renovation Fund

The Waterloo City Council will be asked tonight(Mon) to accept a $200,000 grant from the Otto Schoitz Foundation, to help with the renovation of Lincoln Park, downtown. A Waterloo woman told police she was mugged in the 300 block of Conger Street early Tuesday morning. Manly Puppy Mill Samoyeds Available for Adoption

Nine of the 160 Samoyed dogs seized at a puppy mill in Manly recently have arrived at the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo, where they’ll be evaluated and placed for adoption. 16-Year Old Student Arrested for Social Media Threat

Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 16-year old student in the Lone Tree Community School District on a charge of first degree harassment, for allegedly making a social media threat this(Wed) morning. The student is being held in the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center as the investigation continues.read more »
