CV Champions of Character Honorees Named

The Cedar Valley Character Counts Committee has announced the recipients of this year’s Champions of Character awards.

The organization chooses the honorees based on the Character Counts Six Pillars: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.

This year’s winners are Maddie Gallagher of Cedar Falls, a 6th grader at Orchard Hill Elementary School…Waterloo West High School business education teacher and head football coach Lonnie Moore…architect and volunteer Geof Grimes…Candace Nardini, who also volunteers for several organizations, including the American Cancer Society…facilitator and advocate Jill White…and Andrea Christopher, the 2018 Cedar Valley Educator of Character, also the Principal of Orchard Hill Elementary School.
