What I Like About My Job: Everything!  Really!

Favorite Activities and Interests: Watching sports, traveling, spending time with family, movies, casinos, live music, golfing and dancing.

Favorite Movies: Hoosiers, 42, The Rookie, Remember the Titans, Field of Dreams, A Few Good Men, An Officer and a Gentleman and Pretty Woman.

Little Known Fact About You: I almost got kicked out of Veterans Auditorium in Des Moines while broadcasting my first state tournament basketball game.

Favorite Moment In Radio: Broadcasting UNI’s win over #1 Kansas in the second round of the 2010 NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Anything Else You Think We Should Know: I’ve spent a lot of time coaching youth sports – baseball, softball and basketball (both boys and girls).  I coached 33 teams to World Series or National Championship Tournaments in AAU Baseball, AAU Basketball and USSSA and NAFA softball.  My team won a NAFA Softball World Series title in 2008.  I’ve coached guys like Raef LaFrentz, who played in the NBA; Jared Devries, who played in the NFL; and numerous boys and girls who have gone on to become a coach themselves, including my son, Todd, who is in his 13th year as a college head baseball coach.
