Waterloo man arrested for domestic assault

A Waterloo man is facing a domestic assault charge after his wife stabbed him in attempt to end the attack.

Waterloo police say 28-year-old Mitcheal Baruth is charged with serious domestic assault.  He was booked into the Black Hawk County Jail and later released.

Officers were called to 630 Wyoming Street at about 1:50 Tuesday morning.  That's where they found Kristen Ramsey with bruises and scrapes.  Authorities allege that Baruth hit and kicked her several times during an argument, and Ramsey stabbed him in the right arm to get away from him.
