Felon arrested after hit & run, chase

Police officers chased a suspect in a hit-and-run accident yesterday morning, and they learned the man was wanted on a felony warrant.

Town of Menasha officer Jason Weber says the man took off, after a minor crash in a parking lot, in the 900 block of Appleton Road. He says witnesses gave officers a description of the suspect, and his car.

Weber says a city of Menasha officer spotted the suspect, and he started to run away. He says officers chased him through backyards, and a town officer caught him, while the man was trying to climb over a fence.

Weber says the 23-year-old Appleton man was arrested on a felony warrant, and for resisting arrest. He also got a ticket for the hit-and-run accident.
