Sobieski man killed in truck explosion

A 59-year-old Sobieski man was the victim of yesterday afternoon's truck explosion in Howard.

Gerald Throw, Sr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Brown County sheriff's department says Throw was driving on Pamperin Road, when the truck's load shifted. Investigators say the compressed natural gas fuel system exploded.

29-year-old Jose Perez of Green Bay was riding in the truck, and he was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Ace Manufacturing was leasing the truck.
