Cedar Valley Hospice presents "Honoring Choices: Advance Care Planning"

Event Date: July, 23 2014

Event Times: 10:30 am

Cedar Valley Hospice will hold a presentation, Honoring Choices: Advance Care Planning, on July 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Mallard Point in Cedar Falls.

The presentation will cover information and practical advice on completing your own advance directive, including the steps to take once the paperwork is complete.  An advance directive includes a living will or power of attorney who can state your wishes regarding medical treatment in the event of mental incompetency or an inability to communicate.

The speaker will be Marvin Fagerlind, LISW, Cedar Valley Hospice Executive Director.  “While we might not want to think about our health care choices, making the decision as to what we would or would not want and selecting someone to communicate for us is a gift to our family,” said Fagerlind.

There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be provided.  RSVPs are appreciated to Mallard Point by calling (319) 277-6111.  For more information about this event, visit or call Cedar Valley Hospice at (319) 272-2002.
