The Okoboji Grill sits right along the Wapsipinicon River and near the first tee box at the River Ridge Golf Course. It provides a beautiful setting and I was excited to bring OPR live to this location. It was also be exciting for me to go back to the Independence area and the show. I started my sports radio broadcasting career in Independence back in 1974 at the old KOUR radio station which now has the call letters KQMG.
