The Fayette County Conservation Club is holding a clay target shooting sports event to raise money for cancer research at the University of Iowa. "Shootout Against Cancer" is on Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Club just outside Oelwein, Iowa, at 8 AM.

Over the years the Club has raised nearly $32,000 for reaserch. Our guest is Event Coordinator, Hugh Curtis. For more info you can call him at 563.590.0241.

Tuesday night is the annual National Night Out. A chance to "take back our neighborhoods" by turning on a porch light and getting to know our neighbors. Perry Goodman is with Neighborhood Services for the City of Waterloo and previews the events around the city. We'll also hear about an event in Cedar Falls tomorrow night.
