The contributions came from everywhere in the UNI Panthers’ first women’s basketball game of the season Wednesday at the McLeod Center.
Karli Rucker had 22 points during a 95-63 win against North Dakota State on a night when all 11 Panthers who played recorded at least three points. Of UNI’s 95, 42 came from the bench.
Besides Rucker, four other Panthers were in double figures: Kam Finley (13), Megan Maahs (11), Nicole Kroeger (10), and Kristina Cavey (10).
At 29-for-59 from the floor, UNI was just a basket short of shooting 50 percent for the game. Ten of the made attempts were from three-point range.
UNI raced to a 24-8 lead in the opening quarter, and it didn’t get much closer from there.
The Panther women get back to action Saturday on the road against Wichita State.
