The UNI Panther volleyball team is 3-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference after a straight-sets win over Valparaiso Monday night.
UNI recorded 10 blocks during the 25-21, 25-17, 25-19 decision. Kaylissa Arndorfer was involved in five of them and also had a match-high 15 kills.
Setter Rachel Koop had 36 assists, while Abbi Staack led the Panther defense with 14 digs. Prior to the match, Staack had been named the MVC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. She had a total of 53 digs during two weekend matches.
Monday’s trip to northwest Indiana marked UNI’s third match in four days. The Panthers topped Evansville and Indiana State at home Friday and Saturday.
The win at Valpo came despite the absence of senior outside hitter Karlie Taylor, who suffered an ankle injury over the weekend.
