The City of Waterloo declared another Snow Emergency late last(Tue) night and it remains in effect until 8 o’clock tomorrow(Thurs) morning. Residents are advised to remove their cars from the designated Snow Routes and they’re encouraged to move their vehicles from the other city streets as soon as possible, so the snow removal crews can get them as clear as possible. The city’s 48-hour parking violation ordinance will be enforced.
The City of Cedar Rapids has also issued another Snow Emergency declaration and it’ll be in effect until 5 tomorrow(Thur) afternoon.
In rural Linn County, the most recent tow ban has been cancelled.
Meteorologist Kaj O’Mara from the TV9 Weather Lab says eastern Iowa streets and roads are generally snowy and/or icy and in less than ideal driving conditions.
