MBB: UNI Drops Midweek Home Game

Both teams struggled early, but the Grand Canyon University Antelopes found their offensive stride first Wednesday during a 73-62 win against the UNI Panthers Wednesday at the McLeod Center.

At halftime UNI was down 29-21. The Panthers were of 8-23 from the floor during the opening 20 minutes.

The Panthers almost doubled their first half point total in the second half, led by AJ Green, who made six of his 11 shots after the intermission.

However, balanced scoring kept the Antelopes out in front. Three visiting players were in double figures and eight players contributed at least one basket for Grand Canyon.

Green had a game-high 27.

The Panthers are back in the McLeod Center on Saturday when they host the Fighting Hawks of the University of North Dakota.
