The UNI soccer team suffered their second setback in Missouri Conference play on Saturday, as Missouri State defeated UNI, 1-0, at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.
The only marker of the match came from the Bears’ Kennady Orlick in the 24th minute of the match.
Missouri State’s Kaitlin Maxwell recorded 10 saves. Panther senior Kelsey Yarrow was responsible for five of the shots which yielded those stops.
The meeting was a rematch of the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship game. UNI is now 4-5-2 this season.
The Panthers seek to return to .500 on Monday, but their match against Viterbo has been relocated due to poor weather conditions in the Cedar Valley.
UNI will kick off against the V-Hawks at 6:30 p.m. in Rockford, Illinois.
