A Second Indictment in Plot to E-Jack Internet Domain

A Cedar Rapids man has been charged in a recently unsealed federal indictment with Conspiracy to  Interfere with Commerce by Threats and Violence.

The indictment accuses Rossi Adams II, also known as “Polo,” with conspiring with Sherman Hopkins, Jr., to obtain an internet domain…doitforstate.com…by extortion.

Hopkins was already sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, and if Adams is convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 20 years, plus up to three years of supervised release when he gets out, and a fine of up to $250,000.

Right now, Adams is free on bond and he’s scheduled to be back in Cedar Rapids federal court November 13th.
