Panther WSoc: Double Trouble in Dakota

The UNI Panther women’s soccer team fell twice on the road over the weekend.

Friday, Marisa Schulz scored the only goal of the match for the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State after the ball deflected off her hip. The marker came in the 16th minute as SDSU shutout UNI, 1-0.

UNI goalkeeper Jami Reichenberger made 9 saves.

Sunday, a late goal allowed the North Dakota State Bison to claim a 2-1 result versus the Panthers.

Sydney Hayden was the Panther scorer in the 47th minute of the match for her first goal of the season.

Lauren Powell and Brookelyn Dew scored for the Bison: Powell in the 39th minute and Dew with less than three minutes to play.

Reichenberger recorded 7 saves.
