Eastern Iowa Drug Dealers to Go Away for Meth and Guns

A Cedar Rapids man will receive a federal prison sentence of 10 years to life, after pleading guilty to distributing meth and possessing a firearm as a felon.   39-year old Jerry Love may also have to pay a fine of up to $8.2-million and serve at least five years of supervised release following his prison term.

In another federal meth case, 41-year old Samuel Taylor III of Dubuque pled guilty yesterday(Mon) to trafficking so-called “ice” meth, possession of a gun in a drug-trafficking crime, and conspiracy to commit money-laundering.  Federal prosecutors say Taylor was the last of nine defendants charged and convicted in the same criminal case.
